How is your confinement?

Confinement, what a scary word :) especially to me since i dun really follow all the traditional confinement practices.

Today is my 29th day of my 3rd confinement, alhamdulillah, everything goes fine, just a little bit tired since i have 2 other kids to look after.

I did follow the do's and dont's during my 1st confinement in 2007 as i  stayed at my sister's and my mother's house. But during my 2nd and now, my 3rd, i didn't really follow that anymore. The reason? obviously there is no one around to tell me "you cannot do that" or whatsoever as i chose to observe my pantang here at KL, alone. The other reason...sometime i find it hard to follow esp when it comes to food. So i ate most of the food (lapar maa, cant help myself to be too choosy:)).

In my opinion, some restrictions are ok to follow but some are too ridiculous e.g. certain veggies or fruits that cannot be taken as they were labelled as 'cold'. I think the general rule of everything is Moderation. This can be apply not only during our confinement period, but in our daily life. I am sure 2 slices of cucumber or 2 slices of watermelon would not make you sick :D.

In Dilemma

I am planning to buy a new breastpump-the double pump, but cannot decide whether to buy Avent or Medela.  The later have a very good review from the users. But my interest was more to Avent as i used many of their products including their manual breast pump,  the sterilizer, the bottle warmer and also the milk bottle.

my other dilemma is whether to buy the tandem stroller-Baby Jogger City Select or Britax B-Dual for my new born. As now i have 3 kids and the first two like to ride in their stroller, this tandem stroller will benefit me and my husband as we only need to carry only 2 strollers for 3 of them. But the price tag for this tandem stroller is very expensive. The Britax B-Dual cost RM2,800++. As for BJCS, the model not yet in M'sia, but if bought thru Amazon.com, it cost almost the same as Britax B-Dual excluding the shipping cost. According to the Baby Jogger dealer, that model might be in M'sia after CNY next year.

gosh...what a dilemma and some more cost a lot of money:). or is this some kind of postpartum blues? (wanting for an expensive things hehehe)

I am totally lost :(

i'd gave birth to my daughter 29 months ago, and everybody said (even the pakar bius said that) it is not that long, that i cannot remember all the experience, but seriously i think i forgot most of it...

i just gave birth to my 3rd child 3 days ago, and you know what?, i keep asking and complaining to my doctor and nurse this and that...it just like i didnt encountered this before...episiotomy pain, engorgement pain etc...is it due to epidural?, i dun know, but i read somewhere, there are cases that women tend to forget after taking an epidural...mmm...i guess it is bcoz my mind is being occupied with other things like work, kids, parenting etc make me forgot those memories...should write it down somewhere...mmm...the best place is here, in my blog:)

Happy Birthday Princess Maryam (27.04.11)!!!

It was Maryam 2nd birthday yesterday....We just had a simple celebration @ mcD....with a slice of cake from Secret Recipe(itupun still ada kat fridge)....the planning to go to Bagan Lalang might be cancel as we will having guess from Langkawi this weekend. An old friend of my husband will come over to our house. He and my hubby will be watching Wings Ochestra Concert @Istana Budaya on the Saturday night.

Cian Maryam...Hopefully next year she will be having a nice birthday party...till then, semuga panjang umur and murah rezeki my baby Maryam...mama will always luv you.....

Maryam Birthday Around The Corner

My little princess will turn 2 on 27th this month. I am thinking to give her a birthday party but hubby said she too young to understand about the party. Actually, for Umar we only gave him birthday party when he turned 3...before we just bought cake and celebrate within us only....

Radio While Driving

i always listen to the radio in the morning while driving to workplace....before this i am a big fan of hotFM, farah & faizal, but when they put 3 persons in morning, i found it not interesting anymore...reason? i dun think AG blend well with fafau n fbi, AG was doing so good with Kieran in the evening show...then i switched to suriaFM...Tuah n Halim seems "serasi bersama" altho halim sometimes overtalking..and suriaFM also brought in the 3rd person, Shahirah which always "merapu" i think...i dun know why this 2 stations did that...i cannot see any benefit from this approach...at least from my view lah...they made me switch to another station.

and now i am listening to mixFM, JD and Dilly...they are fantastic duo!!...this duo remind me of Richard and Shazmin...i love listened to Richard & Shazmin until they changed the announcers...

From the way Dilly speak, i thot she is indian but i was wrong, she is malay n only below 35 yrs old...but sometimes she sounds very old (sorry Dilly hehehe)....

But this whole week JD & Dilly not on air, on leave maybe...the back up team was ok but i still miss JD&Dilly...can wait to have them back on the show....to JD&Dilly, cepat2 balik keje ok.....
